How it works
Up and running in seconds

SSH Browser connects to your SSH server and creates a local SOCKS5 proxy. Your entire browsing session flows through that encrypted tunnel โ€” sites see your server's IP, not your device's.

1

Add your SSH server

Enter your server's hostname, port, and username. Choose password or SSH key authentication. Tap "Test Connection" to verify before saving.

2

Connect & verify

SSH Browser establishes the tunnel and shows the green "Secure" status bar. On first connection, confirm the server's host key fingerprint.

3

Browse privately

Use the built-in multi-tab browser. All traffic flows through your SSH tunnel. Switch tabs, save bookmarks, stay protected.

Features
Everything you need, nothing you don't

Built for developers and privacy-conscious users who already run SSH servers.

๐Ÿ”’

End-to-end encrypted tunneling

Traffic travels inside an SSH connection โ€” the same cryptography that secures servers worldwide. No third-party servers ever see your data.

๐ŸŒ

Full-featured browser

Multi-tab browsing with a clean address bar, bookmarks, back/forward navigation, and a visual tab switcher.

โšก

Always-on background connection

A persistent foreground service keeps your tunnel alive even when you switch apps. The green status bar shows you're always protected.

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ

Multiple server profiles

Save as many SSH servers as you need. Set a default to auto-connect on launch, or switch servers with one tap.

๐Ÿ”‘

Password & SSH key auth

Supports standard password login or SSH key pairs. Import your existing private keys from local storage.

๐Ÿงช

Test before you save

Verify a server's connection works before saving your configuration โ€” no surprises when you actually need it.

๐Ÿ’พ

Backup & Restore

Export encrypted backups of your server configs and bookmarks. Also integrates with Android's automatic Google account backup.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

MITM protection

Warns you immediately if a server's host key changes โ€” protecting you against man-in-the-middle attacks on every connection.
